OpenFormatter is designed exclusively for legitimate software development, data engineering, and educational purposes. Use of our tools is subject to compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.

You may not use OpenFormatter to process, transmit, or facilitate data that: contains personally identifiable information obtained without consent; supports illegal activities including fraud, phishing, or malware distribution; violates intellectual property rights; or constitutes harassment or threats.

While OpenFormatter processes all data client-side and does not store your inputs, you remain responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any data you submit. Do not use our tools to process data you are not authorized to handle.

If you discover a security vulnerability in OpenFormatter, please report it responsibly to security@openformatter.com. Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities before we have had reasonable time to address them. We operate a responsible disclosure program.

API access is subject to rate limiting to ensure fair use. Automated scraping, excessive API calls, or attempts to circumvent usage limits may result in temporary or permanent API access revocation.

Violation of this content policy may result in immediate suspension of your account without notice. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that engage in prohibited activities, with or without a refund for pre-paid subscriptions.

This content policy may be updated periodically. Registered users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of OpenFormatter after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
